Shockwave Therapy

MASTERPULS_ultra_3Shockwave Therapy also referred to as Rapid Pressure Wave Therapy or Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, is a relatively modern and highly effective technology that induces high-energy shockwaves into painful areas of the body. With its innovative and unique approach, shockwave therapy can eliminate pathological alterations of bones, tendons, capsules and ligaments systematically, reducing or alleviating the pain and improving your overall quality of life.

What We Offer?

At Serenity Wellness Centre, we provide shockwave therapy for a variety of conditions that do not respond to conventional treatment. Using a multidisciplinary device on the affected area, our highly qualified and trained professional will accelerate the healing process in the body and treat various indications causing chronic or acute pain.
The device, which emits strong energy pulses, stimulates the metabolism and enhances the blood circulation throughout the body. This, in turn, plays a pivotal role in speeding up recovery and regeneration of damaged tissue as these waves mobilize the self-healing powers of your body. With our shockwave therapy, you can treat several conditions, including but not limited to:
•    Hip pain
•    Chronic headache
•    Burns
•    Shin splits
•    Plantar Fasciitis
•    Golfer’s Elbow
•    Stiff/Frozen shoulder
•    Jumpers knee
•    TMJ dysfunction
•    Diabetes wound
•    Stress fracture
•    Hallux Rigidus
•    Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
•    Calluses and bunions
•    Erectile Dysfunction
•    Muscles scar tissue – and more!

Some patients do experience mild side effects with shockwave therapy, which includes symptoms, such as bruising, redness, tingling or aching. However, these don’t happen often, and even if they do, the effects are short-lived. We recommend using ice after the therapy to help alleviate or prevent any of these symptoms.
While investing in shockwave therapy can be a huge financial commitment, rest assured the results of this treatment are more often than not positive! According to different studies, shockwave therapy is reported a success rate of somewhere between 65% and 95%. The effects of the treatment can be further enhanced with combined therapies. As far as the downtime is concerned, it generally takes about 2-3 months for patients to heal completely, but this will vary from individual to individual.
